LOCKS:

Most of the locks on the Canal du midi are automatic with the help of lock keepers. On the Canal de la Robine, the locks are automatic and without lock keepers. In HS, they are open from 9 to 12.30am and 1.30 to 7pm. Until 6pm in LS. Closed on the 1st of May. The étang de Thau cannot be crossed when the wind force is higher than 3 beaufort. On the Lez and Canal du Rhône à Sète, the few locks are automatic. Please note: the lift bridge at Frontignan is only opened for a few minutes twice a day (8.30am and 4pm).
