Ireland cruises on the Shannon

Looking for something a little different? Visit the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Our river cruises in this region are very popular with fishermen, golfers and nature lovers.

Our self-drive hire boats are the perfect way of visiting lively and colourful towns and villages, such as Athlone, Boyle and Enniskillen.

Along the 240km of navigable waterways there is no shortage of rivers, canals and lakes dotted with islands, ensuring a unique mix of unspoiled, peaceful scenery, with villages whose warm welcome is legendary. The River Shannon has a shallow fall so you only have a small number of locks to pass through. You can also explore the magnificently restored, Shannon-Erne Waterway, 63 km long, and has sixteen automatic locks. You can cruise slowly through this dreamlike landscape, with its 34 superbly picturesque bridges.
