2 questions for Lauren, our staff member of Saint-Léger

Which is your favorite route?

Without any doubt, it’s the route heading to Louhans, rather out and back from Saint-Léger or one way to our base in Loisy. This route is giving you the opportunity to see all the different aspects of the navigation. You cruise on 3 different waterways : the canal, the large river and the small river, and you discover 3 types of locks : automatic locks, the ones with lock keepers and other ones that you manage all by yourself.

During a one week cruise, you will discover South Burgundy through a route full of new discoveries and activities. You will go for a walk in the vineyards and will taste all the best wines. You will also have the possibility to ride your bike on the path along the canal. Along the Saône river, you will also visit the towns full of history and heritage such as Chalon, Tournus, Mâcon or you can also take a short break in Lyon.

Once on the Seille river, you will cruise even more leisurely at the heart of nature in this area of gastronomy with the Charolaise meat close to Saint Léger and the famous Bresse chicken near the Loisy base.

Can you give us one good reason to choose Saint Léger ?

There is more than one !
